Dinaric Balkan Pindos Platform Conference 7

At the seventh Dinaric-Balkan-Pindos Large Carnivore Platform conference, around 70 experts, researchers, policymakers, and conservation practitioners came together in Tirana, Albania. The conference was co-hosted by the Ministry of Environment, with support from the Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA). A key focus was the continued development of an Action Plan for the platform, with thematic working groups covering topics such as livestock protection, intervention teams, and habitat connectivity. The conference also included country updates from platform members on large carnivore management, as well as species-specific working groups on lynx, wolf, and bear.

The conference took place back-to-back with the Large Carnivore Habitat Management International Conference of the 4PETHABECO Interreg project (25-26 February), and was supported by the European Commission (Regional Large Carnivore Platforms) and WWF Adria.
